****DANGER!!! DANGER!!! DANGER!!!****

I tried to purchase a car at this dealship, it's been a little over a month since the "sale". I dealt with a man named Alfred he does not stand by his word and will say anything to save his own skin. First I traded my car that actually worked (was a crappy car BUT it worked) for this new to me car. A week after purchase the car broke down on a test drive, car would not start. I was covered by warranty and his own handwriting on the warranty slip (family "friend" - if he does this to people he considers friend, you don't enemies), I waited with the broken down car for 3 hrs for a tow truck he said he sent, tow truck never showed. The car was towed by state police, Alfred told me he had tried to get the car but there was outstanding issues because the car hadn't had the insurance transferred over or been registered yet. This was a lie, they were not holding the car, he just didn't want to pay to get the car out and pay to tow it where it needed to go. It's been about 40 days since the car broke down and Alfred has been "trying to take care of it", he never even showed up at the towing company like he said, no one had come for the car. He tried to tell me the people at the towing company had started the car and that he had nothing to do with it that I needed to go pick it up, the people couldnt have started the car they didn't have the key. We finally came to the understanding with the towing company that we would sign over the vehicle for my plates (the bill for the car being held there is now $1400), turns out the Title I was given isn't even to that car (VINs don't match), so I have no rights to that car. Alfred tried to blame this on me too, he said he had sent me out to get the VIN off the car, the car wasn't even in the lot at the time...anothet lie. Someone is driving around in a 2001 Toyota Corolla with the wrong title, and registered the wrong car, because I have the title to the other car. If you choose to deal with these people be careful and double check everything yourself, honestly not worth your time. I hope this saves someone from a lot of meaningless stress and aggravation.
